“We design the future of Korean industry”

System optimization, quality control, and ergonomics Conducting multidisciplinary research to increase professional knowledge and practical abilities

Industrial engineering deals with optimization engineering techniques to design, analyze, evaluate, and operate complex systems consisting of humans, machines, resources, and information. In this era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the School of Industrial Engineering focuses on multidisciplinary researches as a keyword, including statistics, computer science, mechanical engineering, business administration, psychology, and economics. Industrial engineering is based on traditional production service systems such as automobiles, shipbuilding, information and communications, and logistics and social technological systems such as finance, medical care, transportation, defense, nuclear power, and aviation. The school is divided into 'Industrial Management Engineering,’ which copes with traditional industrial engineering fields focusing on system analysis and evaluation, and 'Design Engineering,’ which applies system engineering principles such as human cognitive engineering, manufacturing engineering,
CAE, and product and system design to engineering design. Through the curriculum (industrial engineering intensive program) based on the international engineering education accreditation, the school fosters creative system design engineers with expertise and practical design ability.
